When we arrived, we literally had ten minutes before our first game. Our school's touch girls split up into two teamsL one with Danielle and me in and the other with Mona, Fiona and Alice in it. I can say that my team played really well. Clara, Anne and Juli really can work together and I had to play middle, unfortunately. I'm not really used to middle but it really helps with my fitness and I also gain loads of skill.
I saw Krystal, Nicole and Kamilia and I finally got to meet Raven! Holy shit, that girl is tall and she's sa pretty. Ahh, Tenby did very well for beginners. The fact that they haven't played a real game before really shows that they try a lot and have balls. Seriously.
My team got into the finals after some games against KLASS and ISKL. We played against ISKL 1 in the finals and they are good competition. It was probably the best game out of the rest that we played during the day. We won by 1 and the score was.....1-0. TAE/TEA saved the day! Her try was very, very tricky. It happened so fast I couldn't even understand how it happened...
Anyways! During one of the ISKL games, I was out on the field on the far wing when Danielle was in the sub box and she said that she overheard Roddy talking to Tanya (this lady who came to watch us and might coach us for a bit, she's from NZ and is a really good touch player) saying that for someone who only started touch six months ago, I'm really, really good. He also said that my talk on the field is amazing and that it's the best. HOLY SHIT, when Danielle told me I was like jumping around biting my towel to keep me from over-smiling and looking like a complete dumbass. Five minutes after Danielle told me this, Tanya called me over and said that my talk on the field is the best out of the team and that she can hear exactly what I was saying even though I was on the far wing and she was by the sidelines. She also said that when I call out that the team had to go back onto the line to defend, it's really, really good. I almost cried when she said that. I mean, it doesn't mean that I play well but you try paying touch for six months and have a compliment like that said to you. It feels absolutely amazing.
Picture of the day:
The team that took gold!
So lazy to post a video link. Maybe I will later bye.
