So basically, like I said, I would practice my food talk here on my blog so you don't have to read this but I AM posting food pictures. YUM. k.
So on Saturday nights (11th June), I went to Tanzini Restaurant, a high-class-ish Italian restaurant in the city. It was on the 28th floor of the G-Tower, which had an amazing view. VERY PRETTY VIEW. You could see the twin towers there. Like, it was sorta right next to the building. (K, so this isn't very formal talk but meh).
BUT! Before that, I went to the Mandarin Grill in the Mandarin Oriental Hotel. Very pretty. My mom, my cousin, my mom's friends and I went there to have some pre-meal drinks. I didn't take a picture of the drinks but I did take a picture of the place. FYI, I'm a bad photographer.

 |
| I found this light very pretty. They used it all over the place. And my mom said I could take down my bed mosquito net things and replace it with this on my ceiling! |
 |
| It was basically little strings of silver leaves and mini crystal balls. Very pretty! |
And the view from where we were sitting was very nice. It was a little garden with a little stream and the landscape lightings were very smartly thrown around. I didn't take a picture of it though. Sigh. Sorry.
Then I was off to Tanzini! The surroundings were very nice! The view was. WAH. It was dimly-lit but it was very nice. Sort of gave the fine-dining feel. Very nice. CLASSY. The food was very delicately and intricately presented. The presentation is definitely a plus. 9/10! They served not to say authentic but very nice Italian food. There was no ravioli though. BOO.
For appetizers, I had some antipasti, which is basically very small servings of food. They come in little saucers and they're practically bite-size. It was called the Antipasti Tier. So it basically came in a tier with three levels. On the top layer, there was some goat cheese, with rocket and lettuce. On the second layer, there was prawn with mayo and caviar on top of some fresh seaweed stuff. HEHE. It was good! And on the bottom and final layer, there was a beef ham roll served with a cherry tomato and a small slice of cucumber. The whole thing was petite and very pretty. The picture I took was of the whole thing so you couldn't really see the antipasti and they were half-eaten. SORRY.
But here it is:

Then for my soup or "zuppe" as they call it, I had the classic mushroom soup. It wasn't just any plain old mushroom soup. It was a nice and creamy mushroom soup. It was lumpy too. With soft croutons and fresh mushrooms. This soup wasn't just filled with your ordinary mushrooms. It had truffles, shiitake, and all these mushrooms from all over the world. Delightful and the presentation was great. Like I said, I'm a very bad photographer so I apologize in advance for the bad pictures. OH, and I messed up the presentation a little bit. I was very hungry so yeah. I'm really sorry. THIS WON'T HAPPEN AGAIN!

| The really good mushroom soup. |
And for my main, I had some Farm Venison grilled to perfection. I had it grilled to a level or medium-well. Just nice. It had a side of a very pleasantly mild tomato, barbecue-y sauce to compliment the juicy meat. It also came with grilled baby potatoes, a boiled baby carrot, some beetroot, a grilled onion and an asparagus. The presentation was really nice. The plate was clean and it was very pretty visually. Yet again, I apologize for my bad photography.

| WITHOUT FLASH. Sorry. |

Like I said, the presentation was exquisite. I apologize for all the bad photos.
And for dessert, I had a Lemon sorbet. It was very cute. It came in an unusually round bowl and with a little strawberry. Sour. But I like sour. VERY NICE. My cousin on the other hand had a tiramisu cake. THE PRESENTATION GETS AN 11/10! IT WAS VERY PRETTY. It came in like a bowl holder which was clear glass and the bowl holder was hollow so it had like a really nice effect on the bowl it was holding. The bowl it was holding was also clear and had the tiramisu in it. I didn't rey it so I don't know how it tasted like. And I didn't get a picture of the sorbet. SORRY! and bad photography skills. AGAIN.

| The tiramisu! |

| The spoon used for my sorbet. The stem was VERY LONG. I found this cute. |
For my drink of the meal. I had iced chocolate! It wasn't your ordinary iced chocolate where they just made some chocolate drink and put ice in it. This was somewhat complex. First, the got a clear glass, then they poured rich and sweet chocolate syrup in there. Sort of like a firework. Then they put in some milk. So basically, the bottom sort of swirled with the chocolate and became light brown and as it got to the top where there was no syrup, it was white. Like milk. Very pretty!
 |
| Loved it. Poor photography skills. |
And my cousin had a nice ol' watermelon juice. Cute glass though!
That marks the end of my meal talk. So now for the scenery! Only a few pictures though because I can see this view out of my window. Not as close though. The first picture was from the balcony of the restaurant but the rest is from the ground floor. Like, at the bottom of the KL Twin Towers and the G-Tower.

| Quite a bad picture. Soz. |
